Dehydrator from Byzoo Nameko Shiitake

Hi Guys, I was given the opportunity by @byzooappliances to try out and write a review about their (6 trayed mini) dehydrator!

Why did I want to write this review? The main reason for this is that I had been looking into buying one myself for more than a year now, but unfortunately most dehydrators are made from a lot of plastic. Knowing that plastic does so much harm to our environment I try to avoid it were I can.

I found other dehydrators made from stainless steel, but they were outside of my budget range. Byzoo’s dehydrator is very affordable and mainly made from stainless steel and not unimportant it performs very well. A lot of cheap dehydrators have a fan in the bottom instead of in the back, leading to unwanted results. This one distributes the air evenly. It doesn`t make to much noise, and it doesn`t take up to much space. And did I mention that it has a glass peeking window in the front? 😍

For this first try-out I teamed up with my friend @vertical_zjef from @pad_en_stoel providing locally grown mushroom goods ❣🍄❣. You all know I`m a big fan of mushrooms and local initiatives. Mushrooms can have a lot of medicinal benefits. We dried some Eryngii, Nameko and Shiitake mushrooms. The mushrooms were dried at a temperature of 50˚C for 6 hours. The dehydrator has a built-in timer and automatically turns off when done. So you can just pop your goods in at night, have a sound sleep, and wake up in the morning to check up on the results. Dried mushrooms can be used as snacks, to turn into powders (to use as superfoods), or to store for a longer time. As you can see I already prepped a new batch in the oven. Yip, I’m hooked! 💛
